The Thief River Falls School Board meets in Regular Session tonight, with part of the agenda dedicated to welcoming a new School Resource Officer.
The Board will recognize Andy Hart for his time over the past several years as Resource Officer. Hart will be moving on to the position of Juvenile Investigator for the Police Department. The Board will recognize Dusty Arlt, who steps into the position. Arlt is a native of Red Lake Falls and is in his second week of the DARE Training Program.
The Board will recognize School Bus Appreciation Day in Minnesota, as proclaimed by Governor Mark Dayton. The Board will hear reports from several of their committees and listen to a presentation from Sara Olson on an environmental scan and will hear updates from the calendar committee and the E-Learning Committee.
The Board Meeting begins at 6pm at the District Service Center. As with all School Board Sessions, there a place on tonight’s agenda for Public Comment, listed as item #5 right after approval of bills.
