Come and meet the Easter Bunny at the 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31st from 9am-12pm at the Huck Olson Arena. There will be over 6,000 stuffed Easter Eggs, some with special prizes, and displays and demonstrations by the TRF Police Department, The Pennington County Sheriff’s Department, the TRF Ambulance Service and the TRF Fire Department. There are three age categories and times: ages 2-3 start at 10am, ages 4-5 start at 10:30am and ages 6-8 start at 11am. Bunnies are the theme for a fun family event just before Easter on Saturday, March 31st at the Thief River Falls Public Library. There will be Bunny Story Time at 11am, Family Crafts all day, a fun activity of finding bunnies holding eggs that kids can exchange for a treat bag that starts at 11:30, and a Bunny Movie at 2pm. The library will be hopping all day!
The Goodridge Area Fire and Rescue 14th Annual Open House and Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 31st from 4:30-7:30pm at the Goodridge Fire Hall. The menu includes burgers, fries, ice cream, milk, juice and coffee. They will have door prizes and raffle tickets will be available at dinner or from any fireman, first responder or board member. A Live Auction will also be held at 9pm at the Goodridge Liquor Store.
The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is excited to exhibit “Midwest Grain”, a collection of watercolor paintings of grain elevators by Debbie Aune of Gatzke. High School juniors, seniors, college students, their parents and councilors, faculty, administrators, and interested community members are invited to join in a discussion of usable tools to enhance a student’s campus safety, the warning signs of sexual assault and resources and materials specific to surviving sexual assault. The Family Advocacy center of Northern Minnesota hosts a free screening of “The Hunting Ground” on Tuesday, April 3rd at 6:30 PM at the Lincoln High School Auditorium in Thief River Falls. There will be an Expert Panel and a Q and A session following the film.
