The Middle River-Thief Lake Living at Home is hosting “Puzzles and Pie” at the Royal Manor in Middle River at 2pm on Tuesday, April 3rd.  Come out and help put a puzzle together and enjoy some pie and coffee afterwards.

High School juniors, seniors, college students, their parents and councilors, faculty, administrators, and interested community members are invited to join in a discussion of usable tools to enhance a student’s campus safety, the warning signs of sexual assault and resources and materials specific to surviving sexual assault.  The Family Advocacy center of Northern Minnesota hosts a free screening of “The Hunting Ground” on Tuesday, April 3rd at 6:30 PM at the Lincoln High School Auditorium in Thief River Falls. There will be an Expert Panel and a Q and A session following the film.

Celebrate Recovery at Epiphany Station, 405 Main Ave. N. in Thief River Falls.  Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony; the night ends in small groups.  The groups currently offered are women’s life issues, addiction and grief and loss; and men’s addictions and life issues.  Nursery is provided, as well as celebration place for elementary aged children. The next Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf distribution will be Thursday, April 5th from 10am-1pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).

The Newfolden Community Homes will have an annual meeting on Thursday, April 5th at 7pm.  This meeting is open to all members, tenants, and to the public.

Roseau Electric Cooperative will be holding their 78th Annual Members Meeting Saturday, April 7th at the Roseau High School Commons and Theater.  Registration begins at 9 AM, with the business meeting to start at 10 AM, followed by a noon meal; the member registration card is in your March electric bill.  There will be great prizes and a gift, with music by the Night Ryders Band.  For the youngsters, gym and swim and child care will be available from 9 AM until noon.

The St. Hilaire Fire and Rescue is sponsoring their 28th Annual Spaghetti Supper on Saturday, April 7th from 4-8pm at the St. Hilaire Community Center.  They will be serving spaghetti with homemade sauce, garlic bread, salad, milk, coffee, and ice cream.  A free will offering will be included, with dine-in or carry-out orders welcome.  Proceeds will pay for equipment and supplies for the St. Hilaire Fire/Rescue/EMS Response.

The Middle River American Legion is holding a Smelt Fry on Saturday, April 7th at 4:30pm.  The menu includes smelt or pollock, potato salad, beans, bread, coffee, lemonade, and free keg beer.  The price is adults/$13, 12 and under/$4, and preschool/free.

The Lifecare Pregnancy Center invites you to their 14th Annual Fundraising Banquet on Thursday, April 26th at the Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center in Thief River Falls.  Social and seating begins at 6pm, the dinner and program are from 7-9pm.  An opportunity to make a financial gift will be extended. The Thief River Falls Chamber of Commerce is working on the annual flower basket program.  This program allows 140 beautiful flower baskets to be hung in downtown Thief River Falls and on the highway 59 double lanes.  The purpose of this program is to beautify the streets and add color to our community; if you would like to help, please consider sponsoring a hanging flower basket.  The fee to sponsor a flower basket is $70 per basket and that fee covers the cost of the plant, a pot, hanger, brackets, cart maintenance and daily watering with fertilizer.  Contact the Thief River Falls Chamber of commerce at 218-681-3720 or by email at info@trfchamber.com to help keep this great project going.
