Three Dead, One Critically Injured in Northern Minnesota Traffic Crash


Three people were killed in a Northern Minnesota traffic crash this morning near Duluth.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol the crash included two vehicles; a GMC Yukon, driven by 26 year old Duanda Robinson and a Toyota 4-Runner driven by 23 year old Aaron Dame. Both drivers were from Duluth and both died in the head-on collision on Interstate 35 just after midnight.

Also dead, a passenger in the Robinson vehicle; 2 year old Damiah Anderson, and critically injured; a passenger in the Dame vehicle; 22 year old Abigail Ptasnik of Duluth.
Survivors include an adult passenger in the Robinson SUV; 22 year old Arriana Norling and an infant girl; Jajaun Starks; both of Minneapolis. Both were protected by safety restraints at the time of the accident.

Officers say the Robinson vehicle was south bound when it was struck by the Toyota, north bound in the south bound lane of the interstate. Officers say they believe the driver of the Toyota was under the influence of alcohol, and neither the driver or the passenger in the Toyota was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
