It was a short, thirty minute session last night for the Thief River Falls City Council, as aldermen made some revisions and called for bids and specifications on this years Street and Utility Improvement Project.
As part of the process, the council quietly and without discussion accepted two items on the Consent Agenda, one to approve the purchase of a third of an acre to create better street alignment on new development in the Gilbert Industrial Park; the cost just over $18,000.
Also approved without discussion; a new Voice Over IP Telephone System linking City Hall with Public Works, Utility and Park and Rec facilities. The new system will replace the old at a cost of $18,6000.
The council also approved a new contract for the MAPS labor group, completing negotiations for the next three years.
