|Arlyne Soiney, 85, of Thief River Falls, MN went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Sanford Hospital, Thief River Falls, MN with her loving family at her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Warren, MN.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Fall, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
Arlyne Marie Lenhart was born November 1, 1932 at Warren, MN the daughter of Gardy & Verna (Poirer) Lenhart. She was raised in the Warren and Radium area and attended country school. She helped raise her family of 9 siblings. She worked as a waitress in the area.
On December 18, 1950, she took Clayton Soiney’s hand in marriage in Warren, MN. The couple lived in Red Lake Falls, MN, Jamestown, ND and finally made their home in Thief River Falls, MN. She worked for 12 years at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, and then for 16 years she worked at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Arlyne liked to embroider, sew, cook and made the best banana bread ever! To her credit, she was a stubborn woman who worked very hard her whole life.
She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by children, Arlette (Steve) Kreager, Burnsville, MN, Delwyn (Sandy), Duluth, MN, Steve (Pam), Thief River Falls, MN, grandchildren, Cody, Carly, Michael (Nancy), Carey; great-grandchildren, Charlie, William, Peter and Jessica; one brother, Donald (Bernice) Lenhart, Thief River Falls, MN; two sisters, Patsy Elliot, Thief River Falls, MN and Betty (Donald) Ballard, Fulton, NY; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by husband, Clayton in 1996; grandson, Peter Gannon; her parents; brothers and sisters, Lloyd Lenhart, Marvin Lenhart, Wayne Lenhart and Dennis Lenhart in infancy; sisters, Faye Lenhart, Fern Knutson, and Luverne Knutson.
