Pennington County Commissioners yesterday got a clearer picture in their look at the almost-completed Justice Center, a combining of court, and corrections in downtown Thief River Falls.
Contegrity Group Construction Manager Pete Filippi says construction is in its “finishing stages.”
No exact dates were given for completion of the project but Filippi says construction on the jail portion of the building is expected to be finished near the end of May. He says employees will need a few weeks training to familiarize themselves with the facility, its equipment, and new procedures.
Commissioners yesterday also discussed briefly items to be hung in the Justice Center entrance after the building is completed. Suggestions included pictures of officers taken in the line of duty, and County pioneers in the law enforcement field. Also discussed were large maps of Pennington County.
