The local Kiwanis Club is sponsoring their 13th Annual Community Rummage Sale from 8am to 2pm on Saturday, May 5th at the Huck Olson Arena in Thief River Falls. Your item donations in good condition can be dropped off at the Huck on Friday May 4th from 8am to 7pm. Sorry, no TVs, computers, tires or items requiring special disposal will be accepted. The Lincoln High School Key Club will also be hosting a Bake Sale! All rummage sale proceeds to be used for the Northrop Park Playground.
The Thief River Falls Archery Club is sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast and Raffle Drawing from 8am-1pm on Sunday, May 6th at the Indoor Archery Range on the Pennington County Fairgrounds. The price is Adults/$7 and Children 10 and under/$5; bring the kids and check out the new Indoor Range. The Raffle Drawing will be held at 12:30pm; activities include a free archery shooting game, door prizes and building tours as requested.
Local health professionals and businesses are sponsoring “Spring Back Your Health”, an event that will include food samples, workshops, demonstrations, class registrations and drawings for prizes, happening on Sunday, May 6th from 1-4pm at the C’Mon Inn in Thief River Falls. It will focus on supporting and teaching simple changes to a healthy lifestyle, beginning with our families and community and finding solutions to meet your spring and summer goals.
The Street Wizards Car Club’s first meeting of the season is scheduled for Monday, May 7th. Potluck and Social will begin at 6pm with a meeting to follow at 7pm; the club will provide the brats. The meeting will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, located at 211 Arnold Ave. North, in Thief River Falls. The meeting will be held at the shelter on the west side of the church, and will be moved inside the church in case of inclement weather.

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is thrilled to announce a group exhibition of Portrait Art, now open at the NWMAC Gallery in East Grand Forks through May 19th. Adult and student artists from our region created all of the artwork on display. The Thief River Falls Chamber of Commerce is working on the annual flower basket program. This program allows 140 beautiful flower baskets to be hung in downtown Thief River Falls and on the highway 59 double lanes. The purpose of this program is to beautify the streets and add color to our community; if you would like to help, please consider sponsoring a hanging flower basket. The fee to sponsor a flower basket is $70 per basket and that fee covers the cost of the plant, a pot, hanger, brackets, cart maintenance and daily watering with fertilizer.
