Sen. Mark Johnson, Rep. Dan Fabian and Rep. Deb Kiel invite area residents to local Town Hall Meetings. The meetings are open to the public, and residents of Northwest Minnesota are encouraged to attend at the remaining locations: the Roseau meeting will be held on Thursday, May 31st from 10:00-11:30am at the City Center City Council Chambers; and the Hallock meeting will be held on Thursday, May 31st from 1-2pm at the Hallock Senior Center.
The TRF Street Wizards will have an Out of Town Cruise to the Maple Lake Mentor Dairy Queen on Thursday, May 31st. They will be leaving from the Sanford SE Campus/ Hwy 59; meet at 5:30 pm for a departure at 5:45.
It’s Family Story Time on Thursday, May 31st from 5-7pm at the Thief River Falls Public Library. You can come to read stories to your children, or staff or a guest reader will start reading at 6:15. For more information call the library at 681-4325.
The Middle River Farmer’s Market will be at the picnic shelter on Main Street on Fridays from 2-5 pm from June 1st through September. Plants, baked goods, jellies, fruits & vegetables, eggs, fancy work and garden décor will be available.
There will be a benefit for Margaret Asp from 10am-2pm on Saturday, June 2nd at the Thief River Falls American Legion. They will have a bake sale and freewill donation brunch to help Maggie get back on her feet after a house fire on May 14th.

Garbage bags will be handed out for all city residents who own or rent starting on Monday, June 4th and running through Friday, June 8th. Bags will be handed out on the south side of the Public Works Facility, located at 1211 Atlantic Ave. North; hours are from 7am-5pm.
The American Cancer Society is sponsoring the 2018 Relay for Life of Marshall and Pennington Counties on Friday, June 8th from 5pm-midnight at the Marshall County Fairgrounds in Warren. This will be a fun-filled event that will celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against the disease. The event will also include entertainment, a silent auction, food and games, touching ceremonies, and stories of inspiration. There is something for everyone at Relay for Life!
