TRF School Board to Consider State Mandate on Lead in Drinking Water

The Thief River Falls Board of Education will hold their only meeting in the month of June Monday.

Education correspondent Lee Richards says the agenda includes a presentation on the Summer Meals program from Jessica Snoozy.

Board Members will also be asked to approve changes to school handbooks at Challenger, Franklin and Lincoln.

The Board will also hear a report on a revised parking lot agreement with the county. Originally, the agreement had been for 50 years but has now been amended to 25 years. Superintendent Brad Bergstrom will present the plan to the county.

Board members will also be asked to agree to the state mandate on lead in drinking water. The district must test 275 taps during normal use.

The meeting gets underway at 6pm at the DSC.
