The Pennington County Sheriff’s Department is looking for volunteers from the community for a Mock Jail Stay. The goal of this exercise is intended to train staff and test the new functions and capabilities of the new facility. The Middle River Farmer’s Market will be at the picnic shelter on Main Street on Fridays from 2-5 pm this summer through September. Plants, baked goods, jellies, fruits & vegetables, eggs, fancy work and garden décor will be available.
There will be a benefit for Tommy Calder on Saturday, June 16th from 11am-3pm at the Thief River Falls American Legion. Activities include a gun raffle, t-shirts, silent auctions, and raffle boards; the Saturday Legion Burger menu will be available. “The Hand I was Dealt With” Cancer Foundation is sponsoring a “Wheeler Run” on Saturday, June 16th. For a day filled with fun and surprises meet at the Rainbow Club at 11am for registration and wheelers will be leaving for the ride at 12pm sharp! Registration is $25 per person, lunch is included. You must be 16 to ride; under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Proceeds will benefit the foundation.

The Prowler Hoops Basketball Camp will run from Monday, June 18th through Wednesday, June 20th at Lincoln High School. 3rd through 5th grade will go from 1-2:30pm and 6th through 8th grade will go from 3-4:30pm. The cost is $25 and you can pay at the door.
Sen. Mark Johnson R-East Grand Forks, & Rep. Deb Kiel, R- Crookston have announced five upcoming town hall meetings in June, Rep. Steve Green, R-Fosston will also be taking part in the Fosston Town Hall. The lawmakers will review the successes of the 2018 legislative session and answer questions. The Thief River Falls Community Theater is celebrating their 23rd season with the second Summer Theater Production for your enjoyment. “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” is a hilarious new musical revue and will be presented from Tuesday, June 19th through Saturday, June 23rd. All performances are at 7pm at the NCTC Theater, with tickets available at Digi-Key, and Pennington Square and Main. Tickets will be sold nightly at the door if seating is available.
