Minnesota’s unemployment rate fell to 3.1% in May, the lowest since July 2000 and down a tenth of a percent from April.

State job analyst Steve Hine says Minnesota employers added 10,200 jobs last month, after declines in April and May.

Professional and business services led all sectors adding 2,700 jobs, followed by leisure and hospitality up 2,200 and construction adding 1,600 jobs.
