The Middle River Farmer’s Market will be at the picnic shelter on Main Street on Fridays from 2-5 pm this summer through September. Plants, baked goods, jellies, fruits & vegetables, eggs, fancy work and garden décor will be available.
The TRF Farmer’s Market is now open for the 2018 season on Saturdays in the Floyd B. Olson Park from 9am-noon.
The Thief River Falls Baseball Association invites you to enjoy a great lunch and support youth baseball at the same time. Baseball players and their parents will be serving burgers and fries at the TRF American Legion this Saturday, June 30th from 11am-1:30pm. There will be pans of bars for a sweet treat too.
Come to Plummer for a spectacular 4th of July Celebration. Festivities start on Tuesday, July 3rd with Adam the DJ at the corner Bar from 9pm-close. The activities for July 4th include: 8 am – the Plummer Fire Department’s annual 5K Fun Run/Walk, meet at the fire hall, registration starts at 7am; 10am – 4pm – Flea Market; 11am – Kiddie Parade and Grand Parade; 1pm – Car Show; 1pm – Kiddie Games – Food vendors will be available throughout the day.
Road construction has begun on the Thompson Forest Road between Clear River tower and the Wobbles Forest road south of Warroad. The road is expected to be open ‘til after July 4th. After the 4th, road construction will begin and this section of the road will be closed to the public. Construction is scheduled to be completed around Labor Day. This may affect your July blueberry picking route in the upcoming months.
It’s time to think about getting your entries ready for the Pennington County Fair. Entries for canning and baking, needlework, table settings, sewing, arts and crafts, taxidermy, photography, homemade beer and wine, and wood working will be held from 10am-5pm on July 18th at the Huck Olson Arena in TRF. This is the 7th year for the Children’s Coloring Contest; they can be picked up at Hugo’s and the Times Newspaper. Bring the completed entries to the information booth at the fair before the morning of July 21st. Prizes will be awarded to all who enter.
The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is pleased to announce an exhibition of paintings and other works by Judy Szlarski, a long-time artist of Argyle.
