Minnesota is currently in the middle of the deadliest days on the road.
Mike Hanson with the Department of Public Safety says, “people tend to think that winter is a deadly time in Minnesota, when actually our fatality rate in the cold-weather season is significantly lower than it is during the summer.”
Hanson says speed is usually the number one factor. Roughly 88 people were killed in speed-related crashes last year.
Increased speeding enforcement starts tomorrow and runs through July 22nd.
