It is called Advance Thief River; a renewed strategic plan for Economic Development in Thief River Falls and the surrounding area.
Earlier this year; Jobs Incorporated, the City of Thief River Falls and Pennington County signed on to a revised agreement; utilizing the Landsverk Consulting Firm out of Fosston to contract Economic Development through the end of the calendar year.
This month the Rick Trontvet, the President of Jobs Incorporated, and Michelle Landsverk appeared with an update for the Thief River Falls City Council.
The foundation of the “digital effort” is an interactive website; advancethiefriver.com – highlighting infrastructure, workforce, transportation and housing – all under the title; “We Mean Business!” with several “short term action steps.”
Other “action steps” include business visitation and “harvesting” success stories to better understand issues and challenges; Marketing the community to increase workforce numbers; Responding to inquiries, infrastructure and pursuing leads; with communication the highest priority.
