On July 13, 1963, Doyle was united in marriage to Marilyn Mae Sjoquist at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN and they made their home in Newfolden, MN.  To this union four children were born, Gary, Carol, Kristi and Greg.  From 1965 until 1976, they lived in Newfolden, MN where Doyle worked road construction.  In 1970, he started G & H Sand & Gravel with Maynard Garfve as his partner.  The family moved to Viking, MN in 1976 and that year following Maynard’s death, Doyle changed the name of the company to Harstad Sand & Gravel.  From 1994-2012, Doyle worked at Davidson Construction as heavy equipment operator.  In 2007 they returned to Newfolden where they have continued to reside.  In August of 2015, for health reasons, Doyle made his home at LifeCare Roseau Manor in Roseau, MN.
