As part of RiverFest and Crazy Days the Thief River Falls Farmers Market will be downtown along 2nd Street this Saturday, August 4th only.  They will be back in the Floyd B. Olson Park the rest of the season.

It’s the Street Wizard’s 17th Annual Cruise-In Car Show on Saturday, August 4th at the Floyd B. Olson Park in downtown Thief River Falls.  Friday night activities include pre-registration, an in-town trivia cruise and an informal meet/greet/eat and display at the Cenex South Convenience Plaza/A&W from 6-9pm.   Saturday show events will include the cruise-in car show downtown, with registration starting at 8:30am.  The show will run from 11-3pm with awards to follow, kids games available during select show hours.  For more information contact Randy at 686-5611, Justin at 701-520-0948 or Terry at 218-416-0204 or visit www.trfstreetwizards.com

Come and join the fun at “Old Fashion Days” on Saturday, August 4th and Sunday, August 5th at the Peder Engelstad Pioneer Village in Thief River Falls.  Starting at 1pm on Saturday the Jensen Sisters will be singing, followed by Turtle Races, Escape Rooms, and Laser Tag from 3-4pm.  On Sunday you can meet with Directors at 1pm, enjoy an Open House from 2-4pm, and Laser Tag will end the weekend festivities at 4pm.

The Pennington County Sportsmen’s Club is sponsoring their 4th Annual Fun Shoot on Sunday, August 5th from 9am-6pm.  There will be multiple events to choose from or do them all.  The entry fee is $5 per shooter per event; enter as often as you like.  This event is open to the public; a gun safety certificate is required for anyone under 18 years old.  For more information call 218-791-9808 or 689-0846.

It’s Dine-A-Mite Day at the River Walk Public House (formerly the Evergreen Restaurant) this Saturday, August 4th from 11am-3pm.  Burgers, hot dogs, onion rings, fries, Lil” Dick Sundaes and rootbeer floats will be served “car hop” style, plus outdoor seating will be available, rain or shine.  Proceeds go to the Pennington County Humane Society.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring a “Night to Unite” from 5:30-8pm, with a meal served from 5:30-7:30pm, on Tuesday, August 7th at the Marshall County Fairgrounds.  Please come out and meet all your local law enforcement, EMT and fire personnel.

Thief River Falls Community Block Party Night to Unite will be held at the Peder Engelstad Pioneer Village on Tuesday, August 7th, from 5-7 pm. The entertainment line-up includes the Jensen Sisters at 5:00pm and the Northland Community Band at 5:45 pm. Root beer floats, free hot dogs, chips, and watermelon will be served and door prizes will be awarded.

There will be a Nutrition Fundraiser from 4-6pm on Wednesday, August 8th at the Karlstad Community Center.  Start off MooseFest with a Potato Klub Supper and a 50/50 drawing at $8 a plate.  The money raised will go towards helping pay for expenses at the Senior Community Center.  For more information contact Ann at 218-436-2400.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers, an educational program for caregivers who are caring for a family member, friend, or neighbor, is a six-week series that meets for 1 ½ hours each Wednesday from 6-7:30pm, starting August 8th and ending September 12th at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.  This program will help you take care of yourself while caring for an older relative or friend.  Please contact Julie Praska-Moser at 218-686-6228 for more information.

The River of Life Church is sponsoring a “Shoe Drive Fundraiser”.  They are collecting gently worn, used and new shoes; any and all sizes, kids and adults.  Any money raised will go towards their children’s ministry.  You can drop off donations at Ace Rental, Westside Motors or the River of Life Church, through the end of July.
