An air quality alert has again been extended, this time to Sunday, August 12th.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued a statewide air quality alert due to smoke spreading across northern Minnesota today, and impacting areas from St Cloud, to the Twin Cities and Rochester midday Saturday.
The MPCA advises those with breathing conditions, high blood pressure or heart conditions limit their time out doors and carry any rescue inhalers on their person.
MPCA also advises everyone take it easy this weekend. Limit, change, or postpone physical activity level. If possible, stay away from sources of air pollution such as busy roads and wood fires.
They also suggest maybe letting that lawn go this weekend unless using an electric mower.
