Bond has been set at 2 hundred thousand dollars for a Thief River Falls man accused of Attempted Murder during a knife fight between co-workers this week at the Northern Pride Turkey Plant.

Pennington County Attorney, Seamus Duffy, says bond was set this morning for 26 year old Louis Damian Cruz Montanez, who remains in custody this evening at the Pennington County Law Enforcement Center.

Montanez made his First Appearance today on charges of Second Degree Attempted Murder and Assault; accused of stabbing 41 year old Cristian Rodriguez during the fight Wednesday in the locker room at the poultry processing facility, where both men were employed.

Duffy says today’s court hearing was conducted with the help of a court certified Spanish Speaking translator.

District Judge Tamara Yon set the next court appearance for Montanez for August 21st.

Montanez has not yet entered a plea in the case.
