Angie Marquis, 91, of Goodridge, MN passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Ekelund Lutheran Cemetery, rural Goodridge, MN.

Angie Orda Race was born on February 19, 1927 on the family farm in rural Goodridge, MN, the daughter of Frank and Betsy (Tharaldson) Race. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Angie attended rural country school in Reiner Township, Goodridge, MN.
On November 29, 1944, Angie was united in marriage to Earl Marquis Sr. The couple made their home in the Goodridge area.
Early in their marriage and while Earl was enlisted with the United States Army, they traveled together on the troop trains and Angie held various jobs where he was stationed. When Angie returned home and Earl was stationed overseas, she purchased small calves and started their dairy operation. Each fall Angie worked in the potato fields in North Dakota. She was a partner with Earl in their longtime farming operation. Angie also worked at the Land O’ Lakes Turkey Processing Plant, Arctic Cat, the MN Agricultural Statistics Service, and sold merchandise at flea markets in Arizona.
For 31 years Angie and Earl had a second home in Arizona where they spent the winters. She loved to travel, dance, play cards, motorcycling in the desert with Earl, and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by children: Lemay Moe, Thief River Falls, MN, Monica (Jim) Roach, Arizona, Monty Marquis, Hawley, MN, Meade Marquis (Vickie Halsa), Thief River Falls, MN, Marla Marquis (Mike Stein), New Hope, MN and Earl (Penny) Marquis Jr. Goodridge, MN; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and 23 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Angie is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sr. on April 15, 2016; a daughter Monna Solberg; sister, Wila Prestegaard; brother, Lester Race, and her sons-in-law, Alec Moe and Brian Solberg.
