The search is over for the driver of a dark SUV, wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Fargo.
Authorities in Southern Minnesota have arrested Miguel Cooley Sr., 44, of Moorhead – wanted in connection wit the death of Gabriel Perez, 20, of Fargo.
Perez died after he was shot several times Sunday Morning, outside a McDonalds’ Restaurant on Main Avenue in Fargo.
Cooley was taken into custody last night at a home west of Rochester.
The arrest was made with the help of the Austin Police SWAT Team along with the Mower County Sheriff’s Department. Cooley was said to surrender peacefully after he was ordered out of the home shortly after 7:30pm.
Cooley is suspected to be the driver behind the wheel of the Chevy Trailblazer that pulled up and fired a weapon at Perez as he sat on the curb outside the restaurant Sunday Morning.
The SUV was recovered Sunday Night in Moorhead.
