A St. Hilaire man is facing three years in prison after being charged with soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct.
Kyle Keefe, 21, appeared Tuesday morning in Marshall County District Court on the felony charge. Keefe was arrested following and investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff Office after they learned of allegations that Keefe was engaging in inappropriate behavior with a child.
According to court documents, the reporting party said he or she found sexually explicit messages on Keefe’s phone allegedly sent to an underage teen. When confronted, both the child and Keefe admitted to partaking in video-chats where they engaged in sexual activities.
Authorities say the defendant and child had no physical contact with one another.
