Three individuals who left the scene of a car accident Thursday afternoon have been arrested.
According to the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office and the Park Rapids Police Department, injuries were reported Thursday at the intersection of County 81 and Essex Road at 3:15 PM and that three people had fled the scene on foot.
Sheriff’s deputies, the Hubbard County K-9, and Park Rapids Police conducted a search of the area, with the sheriff’s office sending out a public alert through its emergency telephone alert system.
Deputies were able to apprehend two of the individuals as they came out of the woods on County Road 4. The driver has been identified as Elizabeth Danielson, 27, of Deer River. She was arrested at the Holiday Gas Station in Park Rapids, and charged with criminal vehicular operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
Passengers were Shilo Williams, 35, of Cass Lake and Jamie Chase, 28, of Deer River, were both taken into custody for active warrants.
