Garbage bags will be handed out at the Public Works Facility from 7am-5pm; today is the last day for pickup. This pickup is for renters ONLY who do not use a dumpster.

It’s Santa Day in Viking on Saturday, December 8th from 9am-3pm. Santa will be at the school at 1pm, and a Craft Sale and Flea Market will also be held there, with the Viking 4H having a Lunch Booth at the Flea Market.
It’s the 10th Annual River City Toy Show on December 8th and 9th at the Thief River Falls Armory. You can buy, sell, trade, or just look, on Saturday from 9am-5pm and on Sunday from 9am-3pm. You’ll find old and new toys, tractors, trucks, Nascar, construction, and so much more! The admission is $3, under 10 is free; for more information call Mark Aune at 686-4094.
Come to the Thief River Falls Public Library on Saturday, December 8th from 1-3pm and make the most classic of Christmas treats, gingerbread houses. They will have kits that you can make at the library or take home and make on your own time. Please sign up at the library in advance so they know how many kits to prepare.
The Lincoln High School Choir presents “Songs for a Winter’s Eve” on Saturday, December 8th from 7:30 – 9:00 pm and on Monday, December 10th from 7:30 – 9:00 pm in the high school auditorium.
There will be a Bethlehem Open House at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls on Sunday, December 9th from 3-5 PM. You can view many Nativity sets and enjoy the special Christmas music, provided by Racheal Largis on violin. Coffee, cider and cookies will be served.
What better fun gift for Christmas can you give than a book ornament made by you! Come in to the Thief River Falls Public Library on Monday, December 10th from 3:30-5pm and learn about all the different kinds of ornaments you can make during their “Book Trees and Ornaments” craft session. Storytime will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at 9:30am. And… if you always wanted to learn how to make lefse, David Lee will show you how on Tuesday evening from 6-8:15pm.
