Four People Injured in Two Vehicle Accident Yesterday in Mahnomen County


Several injuries were reported following a two vehicle accident yesterday in Mahnomen County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Chase Dorman, 18, Douglas Mcarthur, 17, both of Waubun, Lucille Baukol, 69, and Gene Baukol, 80, both of Twin Valley, were injured when a 1994 Ford Ranger driven by Dorman, that was pulled over on the eastbound shoulder of Highway 113 west of Waubun was struck by an eastbound 2018 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Gene, rear ending the pickup truck.

The Baukol’s were taken to Mahnomen Hospital, with Mcarthur Self Transported to White Earth Clinic, each treated for injuries officers at the scene describe as non-life threatening. No health care facility is listed for Dorman.

Road conditions were listed as dry and Dorman was not wearing his seat-belt. All others involved were wearing their seat-belts at the time of the accident reported just after 8 AM.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
