Olga Dahlen, 99, of Goodridge, MN passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Kristin Ostercamp Officiating. Burial will be held at Ekelund Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Olga Amanda Reindal was born September 30, 1919 daughter of Theodore and Valborg (Bjorgum) Reindal at Oklee, MN. They were members of the Clearwater Lutheran Church where she was confirmed. She attended rural school. During her teens she worked on various rural farms.
On November 18, 1939 she was unite in marriage to Justin Dahlen in Goodridge, MN. Following their marriage they moved to a farm near Goodridge, MN where she worked and raised their family of four sons, Galen, Ronald, David and James.
She cooked at the Goodridge School from 1968 until retiring in 1978. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting and raising a big garden. She canned fruits and vegetables and always raised 300 chickens. Her favorite times were spent with her family.
Olga was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid at Goodridge. After retirement they moved from their farm into Goodridge where they lived for 13 years. Justin passed away on May 15, 1997. Olga moved into Thief River Falls in 1999 where she made her home.
Olga is survived by her children Galen (Jane) Dahlen of Thief River Falls, MN, Ronald (Sandi) Dahlen of Seattle, WA, David (Carol) Dahlen of Florida and James Dahlen of Goodridge, MN; grandchildren Jacqueline (Chris) Jorde, Karla (Wayne) Byklum, Kevin Dahlen, Jerry Dahlen, Rachel Dahlen, Travis (Bridget) Dahlen; great-grandchildren Tabitha (Nic) Miller, Chelsey (Bryan) Sorvig, Jace Jorde, Dacotah(Chelsea Sorteberg) Byklum, Darien (Katrina Smith) Byklum, Braeden Thomas, Olivia Dahlen and Briggs Dahlen; great-greatgrandchildren Gage Miller, Raegan Miller, Jackson Sorvig and Ellie Sorvig; one sister Dellys Reindal of Phoenix, AZ; sisters-in-law Hedy Reindal and Virginia Reindal; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Evelyn Lillo, Gladys Reindal, Corinne Roisland, Leonard Reindal, Sidney Reindal, Harold Reindal, Kent Reindal.
