Come and enjoy “Crafts and Companionship” on Monday afternoons at the Newfolden Center, sponsored by Tri-Community Living at Home; and on Friday, January 11th at 1pm they’ll have a Cards and Games get Together, also at the Newfolden Center.
The Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf has new hours. Distribution will now be every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Please bring your own boxes.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls. This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups. The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony; the night ends in small groups. The groups currently offered are women’s life issues, addiction and grief and loss; and men’s addictions and life issues. The Thief River Falls Christian Women’s Club/Stonecroft Ministries will sponsor a noon lunch and program on Tuesday, January 15th at the American Legion in Thief River Falls. Olive Wiskow will tell you about the different plans that God had for her; Sandy Hensrud, a local artisan, will share how she provides “get togethers” with exciting and unique art experiences; and Gina Stoutenburgh will bring her musical talents to entertain you. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 15 original pieces of art by regional adult artists. The exhibit is currently at the Roseau Public Library until March 1st.
