The Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf has new hours.  Distribution will now be every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony; the night ends in small groups.  The groups currently offered are women’s life issues, addiction and grief and loss; and men’s addictions and life issues.  Nursery is provided, as well as celebration place for elementary aged children. The 2019 Red Lake Falls Sportsman’s Club Membership Supper will be held on Wednesday, January 16th at the RLF American Legion.  The evenings activities include supper, the annual meeting, raffles, door prizes, big buck contest and membership renewals.  The meeting starts at 7:30pm; there will be gun and door prize drawings for those in attendance.

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council welcomes you to visit the “We are Water” art exhibit, now on display at the NWMAC Gallery in East Grand Forks through January 18th and later at the University of Minnesota Crookston.  For more information call the gallery at 218-745-9111.

It’s Middle River Winter Fest 2019 on Sunday, January 20th at the Middle River Legacy Building.  You’ll find lots of food, drawings and events, and admission is free.  The fun starts at 2pm with Snowshoe Bingo, followed by a Dodgeball Tournament and Adult and Kid Sign Making, both at 3pm, and the Great Chili Cook-Off at 5pm.  Finish off the day with the Moonlight Luminary Walk at 7pm; all proceeds will go to the Legacy Building.
