Winterfest returns to the Eagles Club in Thief River Falls. It all begins on Friday, February 1st with live music with “Blacklist” on stage at 9pm. On Saturday, February 2nd registration for the Bags and Cribbage Tournament starts at 10am plus they’ll have door prizes and a free lunch.
It’s the 25th Annual Gun Show at the TRF National Guard Armory this weekend from 9-5pm on Saturday and 9-3pm on Sunday. A homemade lunch will be served with dinner specials. This event is open to the public, admission is $5, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
You’re invited to the “King of the Wings Tailgate” on Saturday, February 2nd from 5-7pm at the Ralph Engelstad Arena. The price of the ticket includes wings and all the fixings plus admission to the Thief River Falls Norskies game at 7pm. Proceeds from this special event will be directed to the Youth Health and Wellness Fund in Thief River Falls through the Sanford Health Foundation.
The Middle River Community Club’s Annual Meeting is this Saturday, February 2nd at the American legion in Middle River. Yearly business, election of officers, and Goose Festival talked about at the meeting. Social at 5:30 pm, Potluck supper at 6:30 pm and meeting at 7 pm. All members are welcome, and new members are also welcome. If you’ve never been a part of the MRCC, come see what it’s all about.
Depot Tacos 2019 will be served on Saturday, February 9th from 4:30pm-8pm at the American Legion in Middle River. Taco and a beverage is $8 and an Elephant Ear is $3. Drawings will be held for many prizes in the Romance Raffle starting at 7:30pm; Lucky Buck drawings will be held throughout the evening. Proceeds will go to the Ye Olde Depot Theatre Improvement Fund; sponsored by the Middle River Community Theater.

Arts Legacy Grants up to $10,000 and Arts Project Grants up to $3,000 are open and will be awarded to nonprofit arts organizations, communities, schools, individuals and other nonprofit organizations. Applications are being accepted from our seven county Minnesota service area, including, Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau counties; the deadline to apply is March 1st.
