(Minneapolis, MN) — Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns is an NBA All-Star for the second straight year. Towns was named one of seven reserve players for the Western Conference yesterday. Towns will represent the Wolves at the All-Star Game on February 17th in Charlotte.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Timberwolves are back on the hardwood tomorrow night hosting the Denver Nuggets at the Target Center. Minnesota has split the first two on its current three-game homestand after Wednesday’s 99-97 overtime win over Memphis. The Wolves sit at 25-and-26 on the year. The Nuggets are 35-and-15.

(Atlanta, GA) — Super Bowl 53 is almost here. The Patriots and Rams meet with the media one last time yesterday ahead of Sunday’s big game in Atlanta. The Pats are in the Super Bowl for the third straight year and fourth time in the last five seasons. It’s the fourth-ever appearance for the Rams.

(West Lafayette, IN) — The Golden Gophers head to West Lafayette on Sunday to play 18th-ranked Purdue. Minnesota has won back-to-back games over Iowa and Illinois. The Gophers are now 16-and-5 on the season and 6-and-4 in Big Ten play. The Boilermakers are 15-and-6 and 8-and-2.

(Macomb, IL) — North Dakota’s game at Western Illinois last night was postponed to today due to the weather. UND was forced to take a bus instead of flying because of the extreme cold weather across the country. The Fighting Hawks and Leathernecks will square off at 4:30 p.m. UND has lost three straight to fall to 8-and-13 on the season and 2-and-6 in Summit League play.

(Macomb, IL) — North Dakota State takes its shot at Western Illinois tomorrow in Macomb. The Bison are coming off a 67-57 win at Oral Roberts last Saturday. NDSU sits at 10-and-12 including 4-and-4 in conference play.
