One Person Injured After Slowing For A Snow Plow In Norman County


A Fertile area man was injured in a two vehicle accident yesterday in Norman County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Billy Joe Anderson, 31, was injured when he slowed for a snow plow, traveling ahead of the eastbound 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving, with the vehicle then colliding with a 1997 Ford Taurus, also eastbound, driven by Christopher Jerald Braaten, 18, of Twin Valley.

Anderson was taken to Riverview Hospital, and treated for injuries officers describe as non-life threatening. Braaten suffered no apparent injury

Highway 32 in Gary, was listed as snow and ice covered and both men were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident, reported just before 3 PM.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
