Two Deer Creek area residents were injured in a two vehicle accident this weekend in Otter Tail County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Donald Clarence Gedde, 84, and Alice Alegts Gedde, 78, were injured when the westbound 2015 Ford Edge Donald was driving, was struck by a southbound 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Christopher Ray Kennedy, 35, of Clarissa, on Highway 29 in Compton Township. Officials say Kennedy slid through the intersection of Highway 29 on a snow and ice covered County Road 75.
The Gedde’s were taken to Tri-County Health Care, and treated for injuries officers at the scene describe as non-life threatening.
All involved were wearing their seat-belts at the time of the accident, reported just before one thirty Saturday afternoon.
Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
