Vonnie Hoglo, 77, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND with her loving family by her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 1:30 PM at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert Officiating. Burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Vonnie Jean Hoglo was born September 30, 1941 at Thief River Falls, MN daughter of Frank and Alma (Holten) Lull. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and prior to her marriage she converted to the catholic faith. She was in Thief River Falls and attended school graduating from Lincoln High School in 1959.
On January 9, 1960 Vonnie was united in marriage to Richard Hoglo at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. To this union four sons were born, Tony, Tracy, Todd & Troy. In the early years she ran the packer for Thygeson Construction. She was later employed at the school in food service and ran the deli at the Hartz Store, for 8 years she ran the third floor Digi Key break room retiring in 2013.
She enjoyed time spent at the cabin, camping and fishing, playing cards with family and friends. She had a strong catholic faith. Most of all she loved and cherished the time spent with her family.
Survivors include children, Tony (Mary) Hoglo, Tracy (Cindy) Hoglo, Todd (LouAnn) Hoglo and Troy (Sara) Hoglo all of Thief River Falls; grandchildren, Sophia, Trisha, Kelsey, Lindsey, Chad, Shawn, Ryan, Trevor, Kayleen, Gavin Tessa and Brady; great-grandchildren, Mason, Brynn, Ashton, Riley, Maddex, Jackson, Aiva and Parker; brother Robert Love of Port Richie, FL; brother-in-law Mike Whalen of Thief River Falls, MN; along with nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dick, parents, sisters Karil Sevre, Sandy Whalen, nephew Terry Berggren.
