Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony; the night ends in small groups.  The groups currently offered are women’s life issues, addiction and grief and loss; and men’s addictions and life issues.  Nursery is provided, as well as celebration place for elementary aged children. Tri-Community Living at Home is sponsoring “Whist and Whatever” on Wednesday, March 13th at 1pm at the Newfolden Center and on Tuesdays and Thursdays they offer Senior Yoga and Fitness at 10:30am at Nazareth Church in Holt.

The Thief River Falls Christian Women’s Club/Stonecroft Ministries will sponsor a noon lunch and program on Tuesday, March 19th at the American Legion in Thief River Falls.  Sharon Harrison, from Thief River Falls, will share with you about her journey through osteoporosis, and Jeff Liden will bring his musical talents to the great afternoon.  The cost is $9.00; for reservations or cancelations call Carmen at 681-3091.  Reservations are appreciated by Thursday, March 14th.

There will be a benefit and fundraiser for Jason Miller on Friday, March 15th from 5-8pm at the Thief River Falls Armory.  The freewill offering meal is “Taco in a Bag”, with a Live Auction, Silent Auction and bake sale happening throughout the evening.  Jason had brain surgery on December 8th to remove a golf ball-sized tumor and was diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer.  He will be going through radiation and chemotherapy treatment through August of this year.  A benefit account has been set up at Northern State Bank in TRF.

The Annual meeting of the Brooks Senior Citizen’s Homes Inc. will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 7pm at the Community Hall in Brooks.  The purpose of the meeting is to present financial reports and elect one director.  Prize drawings will be held and a light lunch will be served.

The Viking Volunteer Fire and Rescue is having their Annual Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser on Saturday, March 16th from 4:30-8pm at the Viking School.  The evening’s events also includes drawings for door prizes.

The yearly “Feed My Starving Children-Bagley Food Packing Event will be held on May 14th and 15th this year.  Volunteers are needed to help package meals for starving children.  To donate, which pays for the 22 cents meals, or to volunteer to work one or more two hour packing shifts, call 218-766-8176.  Donations need to be in by March 20th.
