March Winter Weather Expected to Continue Roaring This Week


Area residents are stocking up, in anticipation of large amounts of snow possible for the listening area.

A Winter Storm Watch is scheduled to go into effect tomorrow through Thursday evening. According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, Blizzard conditions are possible, with total snow accumulations of 3 to 9 inches possible. Winds gusts as high as 60 miles per hour could cause tree damage.

The warning is in effect for portions of northwest and west central Minnesota also eastern North Dakota. Expect travel difficulties and reduced visibility, caused by widespread blowing snow.
