Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident yesterday in Clearwater County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Shirley Anne Anderson, 70, of Trail was injured when the westbound 2017 Chrysler 300 she was driving, was struck while on Highway 2, by a northbound 2008 Dodge Charger, driven by Klae Alan Maruska, 18, of Shevlin. Officials say Shevlin was attempting to cross the highway from County Road Seven, when the accident occurred, in Popple Township.
Anserson, Maruska, and a passenger in his vehicle, Holden Elliott Adams, 17, of Clearbrook, were taken to Sanford Bagley and treated for injuries officers at the scene describe as non-life threatening.
Anderson was wearing a seat-belt. Maruska was not wearing a seat-belt. According to the State Patrol report, it is unknown if Adams was belted.
Road conditions were listed as dry at the time of the accident, reported just after 4PM.
Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
