Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls. This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups. The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony; the night ends in small groups. The groups currently offered are women’s life issues, addiction and grief and loss; and men’s addictions and life issues. The Hospice of Red River Valley is offering a free grief support group on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month through June, from 10-11:30am at the Thief River Falls Public Library. The Thief River Falls Christian Women’s Club/Stonecroft Ministries will sponsor a noon lunch and program on Tuesday, April 16th at the American Legion in Thief River Falls. Danielle Carlson from Total Betty will have a Spring and Summer Women’s Clothing Style Show. The St. Hilaire Fire and Rescue is sponsoring their 29th Annual Spaghetti Supper on Saturday, April 13th from 4-8pm at the St. Hilaire Community Center. They will be serving spaghetti with homemade sauce, bread sticks, salad, milk, coffee and ice cream. A free will offering will be included, with dine-in or carry-out orders available. Proceeds will pay for equipment and supplies for the St. Hilaire Fire/Rescue/EMS Response.
It’s the 2019 Grygla Lions Annual Smelt Fry on Saturday, April 13th from 4-8pm at the Grygla Community Center. The “all you can eat” menu includes smelt, baked potato, baked beans, cole slaw, dinner rolls, beer, milk and coffee. The price is $12/adults, $6/age 12 and under, preschool is free. Everyone is welcome!
Everyone is invited to the Palm Sunday Choir Cantata, under the direction of Don Saiger, at 7pm on Sunday, April 14th at the Warren Covenant Church. Bars and coffee will be served following the program.
The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 15 original pieces of art by regional adult artists. The exhibit will be at the Hallock Public Library through April 27th.
Spaces are being sold for a multi-party Flea Market/Rummage Sale to be held in TRF at the Evangelical Covenant Church parking lot on Saturday, May 18th from 8-2.
