Winter Weather, Flood Advisories Issued

The Winter Weather Advisory originally scheduled for 7AM today has been moved to this afternoon, and we are still in a Flood Advisory.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect at 4PM today, until 1PM Friday. The Flood Advisory is in effect until 3PM tomorrow.

Snow is expected, with accumulations of 2 to 6 inches possible, and wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour. Plan for slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions may impact the evening or morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches during the storm.

Some locations that are expected to experience flooding include, Thief River Falls, Fosston, Red Lake Falls, Bagley, Mahnomen, McIntosh and Clearbrook.

If a road appears flooded, turn around and find an alternate route. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

The latest road conditions can be found by calling 511.
