Kittson County Highway Department Issues “Thank You” to Volunteers Who Helped with Sandbagging Efforts


The Kittson County Highway Department has issued a “thank you” to the more than 20 volunteers who turned up to fill sandbags following a call for more volunteers on social media.

According to the “thank you” post, sandbaggers included “farmers, wives, school kids, skid steer operator, Fire Department people, County Highway staff, Hallock Police and US Border Patrol persons.” The post came late last night after a post made a few hours earlier saying that more volunteers were need to fill sand bags in Hallock.

The second post went on the thank to those who brought food and water as well.
