Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Tri- Community Living at Home Program will have Whist & Whatever at the Newfolden Center on Wednesday, April 24th at 1 pm.

The 2019 After School Archery League for 6th and 7th graders begins Wednesday, April 24th and runs through May, 22nd.  There will be five weeks of instruction every Wednesday from 3:30-5:30pm at the Indoor Range at the Pennington County Fairgrounds.  Learn safety in the range, how to shoot and improve your archery skills.  The class is limited to the first 10 archers to sign up; the cost is $20.  Bring your own equipment or the club will provide; no experience is necessary.  For more information contact Dana Klos at 689-7376.

The Thief River Falls Women’s Softball Association is having an organizational meeting on Wednesday, April 24th at 7:15pm in the back room of the American Legion.  Please have at least one person from each team at the meeting; this should be a quick meeting.

The Hospice of Red River Valley is offering a free grief support group on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month through June, from 10-11:30am at the Thief River Falls Public Library.  The grief support group is open to any adult 18 years and older who are grieving the loss of a loved one through death.  For more information call 800-237-4629 or go to bereavement@hrrv.org

The city of Thief River Falls is hosting the Community Expo on Thursday, April 25th from 4:30pm-6pm at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.  Come and visit with Community Leaders and Organizations; find out what TRF has to offer and have your questions answered regarding activities and life in TRF.  TRF Park and Rec, Community Ed and Latch Key will also have registration night.  They will be showing “Incredibles 2” on their inflatable movie screen; the movie is free and will begin at 6pm, concessions will be available during the movie.

Come and enjoy a Soup and Sandwich Lunch, along with a Cake Walk, Bake Sale, Fish Pond, Rummage Sale and Raffle on Saturday, April 27th from 9am-2pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge.  Proceeds will go towards projects of the Faith Women.

It’s the 38th Annual Goodridge Lion’s Club Consignment Auction and Smelt Fry on Saturday, April 27th in Goodridge.  The auction begins at 9am and a Flea Market and lunch sponsored and served by the Goodridge Lion Tamers will be held inside the Lions Hall.  The Smelt Fry, beginning at approximately 4:30pm, will also be held in the Lions Hall.

The Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Tabor is sponsoring a Smelt Fry on Saturday, April 27th from 5-8pm at the Tabor Hall.  The menu includes smelt or polluck, baked potato, salad, baked beans, onion rings, dinner roll, and beverage; pie is available.  The price is adults/$13, under 12/$5, and preschool/free; a children’s menu of chicken strips and fries will also be offered.

Rindahl Lutheran Church is serving a Pancake Supper on Sunday, April 28th from 4-7pm at the Viking Diner.  A freewill offering will be collected to benefit their church renovation.  Please note that this is the correct date and time.

You can help commemorate The Back Behind the Barn Boys; the Grygla Lion’s Club is taking donations to purchase two billboards that will be located in Gatzke to honor the local band.  Donations can either be brought to or mailed to the American State Bank of Grygla, at PO Box 78; donations should be received by May 1st.
