Tractor Supply in Thief River Falls is holding a Market Day Saturday, May 18th and is looking for organizations that would like to sell their homemade items or would like to do some fundraising. We are looking for someone to cook breakfast and someone for lunch to raise money for their organization. We have the option for someone to do a car wash and we can get the dunk tank if an organization would like to use it for a fund raiser. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls. This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups. The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony; the night ends in small groups. The groups currently offered are women’s life issues, addiction and grief and loss; and men’s addictions and life issues. The Hospice of Red River Valley is offering a free grief support group on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month through June, from 10-11:30am at the Thief River Falls Public Library. Bike TRF, a local organization of bicycle enthusiasts, and the Ski and Bike Shop from Grand Forks, is sponsoring a safety check/get your bike ready to ride workshop event on Saturday, May 11th from 10am-12 noon at the old ITS building across from the Methodist Church and the TRF Fire Department. Participants are invited to bring their bikes for a safety check. Recommendations for proper emergency kits for your style of riding will also be available.
The Flying V Cancer Fighters are sponsoring a Mother’s Day Dinner on Sunday, May 12th at the Middle River American Legion. Serving from 11am-2pm, the menu includes ham, potato casserole, vegetable, cole slaw, dinner rolls, cake and ice cream. The Free Will Donation will be given to Trails to Treatment and other cancer fighting causes.
