State Patrol Says Alcohol Involved In Single Vehicle Roll-Over Accident


A Waubun area woman was injured in a single vehicle roll-over accident Saturday in Polk County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Cheri Lynne Johnson, 42, was injured, when the southbound 2001 Oldsmobile Alero she was driving left Highway 220 for an unknown reason, and rolled, near the intersection with 370th Avenue Southwest in Vineland Township.

According to the State Patrol report, Johnson was taken to Crookston Hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene describe as non-life threatening. A passenger in the vehicle, Cody Dean Holum, 28, of Bemidji suffered no apparent injury. Both were wearing seat-belts and road conditions were listed as dry at the time of the accident, reported just before 8AM.

Officials say alcohol played a factor in the accident.
