Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). The Thief River Falls Community Theater is celebrating their 24th season with the first 2019 Summer Theater Production ready for your enjoyment. “Death of a Salesman” will be presented on Thursday, May 23rd and Friday, May 24th. All performances are at 7pm at the NCTC Theater, with Flexpass and single performance tickets available at Digi-Key; tickets will be sold nightly at the door if seating is available.

The Thief River Falls Chamber of Commerce is working on their annual flower basket program that will allow 51 beautiful flower baskets to be hung on the Highway 59 double lanes. The purpose of this program is to beautify the streets and add color to our community; if you would like to help, please consider sponsoring a hanging flower basket. The fee to sponsor a flower basket is $70 per basket and that fee covers the cost of the plant, a pot, hanger, brackets, cart maintenance and daily watering with fertilizer. The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) Gallery in East Grand Forks presents a Parenthood Art Exhibit that is running through June 23rd and features pieces created by NW Minnesota artists and their children. Start working now on your entries for culinary, needlework, table settings, sewing, arts & crafts, taxidermy, photography, senior citizen and woodworking departments.
