Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls is holding Vacation Bible School tonight through Thursday, June 6th from 6-8pm each night.  There will be registration each evening and a light supper will be available each night at 5:30.  Volunteers are needed and are welcome to come and assist with different activities; please talk to a Parish Board member if you are interested.

“Paint the Town Purple” June 1st-8th to help bring awareness of the Marshall/Pennington County Relay for Life Event on Friday, June 7th at 5pm at the Pennington County Fairgrounds in Thief River Falls.  Decorate your house or business and judging will take place on Wednesday, June 5th; please submit pictures by Tuesday, June 4th to Amber Holtan and let them know you would like to be included in the competition.  Starter kits are available; call Amber at 218-689-9405 for more information.

The 2019 garbage bags for TRF residents will be handed out at the Public Works Facility June 3rd-7th from 7am-5pm each day.  This garbage bag hand-out is for all city residents who own or rent.  Apartment residents who use a dumpster are not required to use city bags.

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program that meets every Tuesday night at Epiphany Station in Thief River Falls.  This program is for anyone who is dealing with life’s hurts, habits or hang-ups.  The night starts at 6pm with a free meal followed by worship with a teaching or testimony.  Nursery is provided, as well as a celebration place for elementary aged children. The American Cancer Society is sponsoring the 2019 Relay for Life of Marshall and Pennington Counties on Friday, June 7th from 5pm-midnight at the Pennington County Fairgrounds in Thief River Falls.  This will be a fun-filled event that will celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against the disease.  The event will also include entertainment, a silent auction, food and games, touching ceremonies, and stories of inspiration.  There is something for everyone at Relay for Life!  For more information go to www.relayforlife.org/marshallcountymn or call Amber Holten at 689-9405.

There will be a “Dirty Thirty + 2 ATV Run” on Saturday, June 8th at the Rainbow Club in Strandquist.  Registration starts at 10am, with the cost at $25 per rider.  Lunch follows the ride and prizes will be awarded for best decorated ATV and best beach costume.  Proceeds to benefit “The Hand I was Dealt”, cancer is a beach, let’s lei it to rest!

The Thief River Falls Golden Pioneers Club is looking for new members; they meet each Tuesday morning at the River Walk Public House.  The club donates money each year to various local organizations and members volunteer with different community activities.  If you are interested and would like more information please call 681-2860.
