Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls is holding Vacation Bible School tonight through Thursday, June 6th from 6-8 pm each night.  There will be registration each evening and a light supper will be available each night at 5:30.  Volunteers are needed and are welcome to come and assist with different activities; please talk to a Parish Board member if you are interested.

The 2019 garbage bags for TRF residents will be handed out at the Public Works Facility June 3rd-7th from 7 am-5 pm each day.  This garbage bag hand-out is for all city residents who own or rent.  Apartment residents who use a dumpster are not required to use city bags.

Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6 pm and every Thursday from 11 am-4:30 pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left).  Please bring your own boxes.

There will be a Senior Dance on Wednesday, June 5th from 2-5 pm at the Middle River American Legion, with music by Texas Connection.

The American Cancer Society is sponsoring the 2019 Relay for Life of Marshall and Pennington Counties on Friday, June 7th from 5 pm-midnight at the Pennington County Fairgrounds in Thief River Falls.  This will be a fun-filled event that will celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against the disease.  The event will also include entertainment, a silent auction, food and games, touching ceremonies, and stories of inspiration.  There is something for everyone at Relay for Life!  For more information go to www.relayforlife.org/marshallcountymn or call Amber Holten at 689-9405.

The Northwest Chapter of ABATE is having their 31st Annual Spring Ride-In from June 7th-9th at the St. Hilaire Municipal Park.  The cost is $40 for a weekend pass and $30 after 12 noon on Saturday.  You’ll find free primitive camping, showers, bathrooms and live music and bonfire both nights, plus food, beer and games.

There will be a “Dirty Thirty + 2 ATV Run” on Saturday, June 8th at the Rainbow Club in Strandquist.  Registration starts at 10 am, with the cost at $25 per rider.  Lunch follows the ride and prizes will be awarded for best decorated ATV and best beach costume.  Proceeds to benefit “The Hand I was Dealt”, cancer is a beach, let’s lei it to rest!

Guest speaker Pastor Marcel Ternival of Haiti will be at the Thief River Falls Evangelical Covenant Church on Sunday, June 9th at 6:30 pm with a message of hope and revival; everyone is welcome!

The Thief River Falls Golden Pioneers Club is looking for new members; they meet each Tuesday morning at the River Walk Public House.  The club donates money each year to various local organizations and members volunteer with different community activities.  If you are interested and would like more information please call 681-2860.
