Two people were injured in a two vehicle accident yesterday in Crow Wing County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Benjamin Jeremiah Bernatsky, 21, of Brainerd was injured when the 2007 Honda Civic he was driving was struck while stopped, waiting for the vehicle in front of it to turn. According to the State Patrol report, the vehicle was rear-ended by a 2003 Honda Civic driven by Adam Dale Sypnieski, 26, of Brainerd, with both men suffering injuries troopers at the scene describe as non-life threatening.

Bernatsky was taken to Essentia Health Saint Joseph’s Medical Center. No health care facility is listed in the State Patrol report for Sypnieski.

Road conditions were listed as dry and both were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident, reported just after 7PM.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
