A Glyndon area man was injured in a single vehicle accident last night in Clay County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Raul Gonzalez Junior, 34, was injured when the eastbound 2008 Chevy Silverado he was driving entered the south ditch and vaulted through a MNDOT fence, over utility boxes and into a residential fence and tree, after entering the median, then over-correcting back onto Interstate 93 near mile post 2 in Moorhead.
According to the State Patrol Report, Gonzalez was taken to Sanford Health Care Facility and treated for injuries troopers at the scene describe as non-life threatening. Road conditions were listed as dry and Gonzalez was wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident, reported just after 7PM.
Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
