The TRF Farmer’s Market is now open for the 2019 season on Saturdays in the Floyd B. Olson/Gazebo Park from 9am-noon. You’ll find vegetables, baked/canned goods, jellies and jams, honey, potted plants, tea, salsa and so much more!
There will be a car wash at the Evangelical Covenant Church parking lot on Saturday, June 15th from 10am-2pm. Money raised will be used to support their mission trip to the Midwest Indian Mission in Crandon, Wisconsin.
Join in celebrating your great Polish heritage at “Polish Day” on Sunday, June 16th at the Assumption Catholic Church in Florian. Mass begins at 10:30, featuring the Dolina Polish Choir members, with a Dinner Fundraiser following from 11:30-1pm and music, fun and games from 1-4pm at the P.N.A. Hall. Come and enjoy this free event promoting Polish culture through song and dance.
The city of Viking is sponsoring a Father’s Day Dinner on Sunday, June 16th from 11am-1:30pm at the Viking Diner. The menu includes walleye or BBQ ribs, mashed potatoes or potato salad, green beans or glazed carrots, coleslaw, rhubarb crisp dessert, coffee and punch. The cost is $15/adults, and children 8 and under/$5.
Cornerstone Baptist Church in Thief River Falls will have Bible School from 9:30am-12noon on Monday, June 17th through Thursday the 20th. Don’t miss the TRF Kiwanis Picnic in the Park on Tuesday, June 18th from 5-7pm at Northrop Park. They will be serving hot dogs, chips, dessert and a drink; a free will donation is included. Proceeds will go towards Northrop Park.
There will be an “Art and Wine Walk” in downtown Thief River Falls on Thursday, June 20th. Registration is from 4:30 – 6pm; prizes and wine glass give-a-way is at 8pm. Businesses will be open until 8 pm and 20 businesses will have wine to taste and an appetizer to sample; art by area artists will be displayed in each of the participating businesses. Get 12 stamps and you can be entered for prize giveaways. The walk starts at the parking lot of the Carnegie and ends at the parking lot of the VFW; the cost is $15 to pre-register and $20 at the door. There will be a benefit for Michelle Chaplinski on Saturday, June 22nd at the Middle River American Legion; they will be serving a freewill donation BBQ Sandwich Supper from 5-7:30pm. The evening’s activities include games, a bag raffle, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, a live auction and more! Registration is now open for parade floats for the Pennington County Fair and is available online at penningtoncoutntyfair.org. Registration can be printed or submitted online, and is also available at Benton, Safranski and Company at 116 3rd Street West in Thief River Falls. Registration forms are due on Monday, July 15th at 1:00 PM.
