State Troopers say alcohol was a factor in the single vehicle accident that left one person injured yesterday in Polk County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, David Joseph Meine, 21, of Crookston, was injured when lost control of the 2001 Ford F250 he was driving, and drove into a railroad bridge pier after turning westbound onto Old Highway 75 from South Main Street in Crookston. According to the State Patrol report, Meine was taken to Crookston Hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene describe as non-life threatening.
Road Conditions were listed as dry and Meine was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident, reported just after 1 AM.
Crookston Fire and Ambulance, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and the Crookston Police Department assisted at the scene.
