Cornerstone Baptist Church in Thief River Falls will have Bible School from 9:30am-12 noon today through Thursday the 20th. Children ages 5-12 can enjoy bible stories, snacks, games, crafts and more! Distribution at the Thief River Falls Food Shelf is every Tuesday from 1-6pm and every Thursday from 11am-4:30pm at the Food Shelf Building, located at 16330 150th St. NE (go south on Hwy 59 past the movie theater and turn left onto Hwy 61/150th St.. it is the green building/2nd drive on the left). On June 22nd, the longest day of the year, thousands of people will join together to show their support for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Five events will be sponsored in Thief River Falls this week, starting on Tuesday, June 18th at Oakland Park. They will be hosting an Ice Cream social from 1:30-3:30pm; music will be provided by Bob Haring from 2-3pm, a freewill offering will be collected. On Wednesday June 19, Valley Home will be “Grilling for the Minds” from 5-7pm. $1 from each plate purchased will go towards the Alzheimer’s Association. Later in the week events will be held at Greenleaf, Thief River Care Center and Hartz Park.
Tri-Community Living at Home is sponsoring Senior Club and Bingo on Wednesday, June 19th at 12:30pm at the Newfolden Center and Senior Bingo at 1pm on Thursday at the Viking Diner.

There will be an “Art and Wine Walk” in downtown Thief River Falls on Thursday, June 20th. Registration is from 4:30 – 6pm; prizes and wine glass give-a-way is at 8pm. Businesses will be open until 8 pm and 20 businesses will have wine to taste and an appetizer to sample; art by area artists will be displayed in each of the participating businesses. Get 12 stamps and you can be entered for prize giveaways. The walk starts at the parking lot of the Carnegie and ends at the parking lot of the VFW; the cost is $15 to pre-register and $20 at the door. The Middle River Community Theater presents “There’s a Monster in my Closet”.
